  • Configure and enhance Workday business processes, security, calculated fields, condition rules, notifications, and data validation (based on access/role).
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical designs, and deliver enhancements and process improvements.
  • Coordinate Workday releases: evaluate impact, execute regression testing, and plan/implement changes.

Integrations & Data
  • Support and enhance Workday integrations (inbound/outbound) with downstream/upstream systems (e.g., benefits, payroll vendors, IAM, learning, finance).
  • Monitor integration schedules, manage errors, perform reprocessing, and implement resiliency and alerting.
  • Collaborate on data quality, audits, reconciliation, and troubleshooting across HR systems.

Reporting & Analytics (as applicable)
  • Build and maintain Workday reports/dashboards; support operational and compliance reporting needs.
  • Optimize report performance and ensure appropriate data access via Workday security.

Quality, Delivery, and Operations
  • Write and maintain technical documentation (runbooks, SOPs, design notes, support guides).
  • Support SDLC practices: development, testing, change management, and post-deployment validation.
  • Drive continuous improvement of monitoring, automation, and support processes.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as a technical partner to HRIS and HR teams; communicate status, risks, and dependencies clearly.
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to coordinate upgrades, patches, and issue resolution.

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience supporting Workday in a production environment (HR/HRIS application support, enhancements, and troubleshooting).
  • Experience supporting one or more Workday functional areas such as HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll (or Payroll interfaces), Compensation, Security, Reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with system support processes (incident/problem/change management) and structured troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of data flows, integrations, and enterprise application ecosystems.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions; strong written/verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Workday integration technologies (any of the following): EIB, Core Connectors, Studio, REST/SOAP APIs, SFTP/file-based integrations.
  • Experience with Workday security concepts (e.g., role-based security, domain/business process security).
  • Familiarity with testing practices (test planning, regression testing, UAT coordination) and release management.
  • Scripting/automation experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and/or experience with monitoring/alerting tools.
  • Workday certifications (any relevant certification) are a plus.

Key Competencies
  • Production support mindset: prioritization, urgency, and follow-through
  • Root-cause analysis and problem-solving
  • Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Documentation discipline and operational excellence
