Job Title: Software Engineer - Equipment Integration
Location: Corning, NY
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Corning, NY
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or related field
DescriptionDevelop and support software that integrates manufacturing equipment with MES, ERP, SCADA, and smart-factory systems. Build backend and full-stack solutions, enable real-time equipment data flow, troubleshoot integrations, and support production deployments in a hybrid environment.
Requirements- 5+ years of software development experience
- Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript
- Equipment integration and manufacturing systems experience
- OPC UA, SECS/GEM, TCP/IP, MQTT, or messaging technologies
- Database, Git, and Agile experience
Qualifications- Full-stack or backend software development
- Manufacturing equipment integration
- MES/SCADA integration
- Messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ, or MQTT
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with IT, engineering, architecture, and manufacturing teams
