Summary

Your role in our mission

  • Enters commands on computers, tape drives, printers, data communications equipment, and plotters to integrate and operate equipment.
  • Sets up and loads peripheral equipment with selected materials such as tapes and printer paper to facilitate continued production. Labels and organizes output and back-up tapes.
  • Observes computer and peripheral equipment and error messages displayed on monitor to detect faulty output or machine stoppage. Implements standard procedures for routine errors. Escalates issues and errors as necessary.
  • Researches warning and error messages and takes appropriate action to ensure job production completion.
  • Maintains audit trail of job activities and statuses to document productivity.
  • Monitors levels of operations supplies and procures equipment and supplies as necessary. Reports supply levels to supervisor for resolution.
  • Performs scheduled such as daily, weekly, or nightly backups on systems in order to maintain production. Labels and organizes output and backup tapes in accordance with prescribed guidelines; distributes output reports as necessary.
  • Performs start-up, re-configuration, shut-down, and re-start procedures in order to maintain production.
  • Utilizes standard problem management tools to record discrepancies in the environment.


What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • One or more years of technical training in computer operations or related field preferred
  • Two or more years of computer operation experience
  • Experience working with systems infrastructure including hardware configuration, operating system, and networks
  • Experience working with system job control language
  • Experience working with computer desktop packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.

  • Organization skills to balance and prioritize work
  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • Fully remote options from Contiguous US locations only
  • Video cameras must be used during all interviews, as well as during the initial week of orientation

The pay range for this position is $33,400.00 - $47,700.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
