Job Description: SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning Consultant

Location: Dallas, TX (Local candidates preferred)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Planning Consultant to support planning, budgeting, and forecasting initiatives for a leading client in the utilities/energy sector. The ideal candidate will bring strong functional and technical expertise in SAC Planning, along with hands-on experience across multiple implementation engagements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support SAP Analytics Cloud Planning implementations and enhancements
Design, build, and deploy planning models for budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable SAC solutions
Develop data actions, allocations, and workflows within SAC planning models
Integrate SAC with SAP S/4HANA, BW, or other source systems
Drive financial planning processes, including:
- Budgeting
- Forecasting
- Variance analysis
Provide guidance on best practices in SAC planning architecture and performance optimization
Support testing, UAT, and end-user training
Troubleshoot issues and ensure system stability and performance

Required Qualifications

3–5+ years of hands-on SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) experience, specifically in Planning (mandatory)
Proven experience across multiple SAC implementations/engagements
Strong understanding of planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Experience building:
- Planning models
- Data actions
- Allocations
- Stories (dashboards)
Knowledge of data integration with SAP ecosystems (BW, S/4HANA, or other sources)
Strong stakeholder communication and requirement gathering skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Utilities or Energy industry (highly desirable)
Familiarity with financial planning & analysis (FP&A) processes
Knowledge of SAC predictive planning or advanced analytics
Prior experience working in fast-paced, client-facing environments
