Position Overview
The Life Sciences Business Applications Practice Lead is responsible for leading and growing a consulting and delivery practice focused on business applications supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and healthcare organizations. This leader will establish practice strategy, develop service offerings, drive business development, oversee program delivery, and build high-performing teams across commercial, medical, clinical, regulatory, quality, patient services, and enterprise operations.
The ideal candidate combines deep life sciences industry expertise with a strong understanding of business applications, digital transformation, data, CRM, patient engagement, and cloud platforms. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders while ensuring successful client outcomes and practice growth.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership & Strategy

Define and execute the strategic vision for the Life Sciences Business Applications Practice.

Build and expand service offerings aligned to industry needs and emerging technologies.

Establish best practices, methodologies, accelerators, templates, and delivery frameworks.

Develop annual business plans, growth strategies, and practice objectives.

Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and technology innovations.

Partner with executive leadership to drive practice profitability and market expansion.
Business Development & Client Engagement

Serve as a senior advisor and thought leader for life sciences clients.

Support sales teams in identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.

Lead discovery workshops, solutioning sessions, and executive presentations.

Develop Statements of Work (SOWs), proposals, staffing plans, and project estimates.

Build and maintain executive-level relationships across client organizations.

Identify opportunities for cross-selling and expanding existing engagements.
Revenue Responsibilities

Drive annual practice revenue growth targets.

Manage sales pipeline and forecast accuracy.

Support strategic account planning and account expansion initiatives.

Contribute to go-to-market strategies and demand generation programs.
Delivery Leadership

Oversee successful delivery of business application programs and managed services engagements.

Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations.

Required Qualifications
Education

Experience

12+ years of experience within life sciences consulting, technology services, or pharmaceutical/biotech organizations.

7+ years leading business applications, digital transformation, or enterprise technology initiatives.
-
5+ years managing consulting teams and client engagements.
-
Demonstrated success building and scaling consulting practices.
