Role: Vulnerability Management & Remediation Coordination Lead

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Vulnerability Management Lead to drive enterprise vulnerability remediation coordination, reporting, and program improvement aligned with NIST standards.
Key Responsibilities
Vulnerability Inventory & Baseline
Review existing vulnerability data from scans, assessments, and security tools
Establish and maintain a consolidated vulnerability baseline
Develop and document remediation timelines based on risk and aging
Risk Classification & Prioritization
Categorize and prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity, exploitability, and business impact
Align classification and prioritization with NIST guidance
Validate remediation SLAs based on risk levels
Remediation Coordination & Communication
Coordinate remediation efforts with system, server, and application owners
Communicate remediation expectations, risk context, and deadlines
Track remediation progress and identify blockers or dependencies
Escalate overdue or high-risk vulnerabilities through governance channels
Tracking, Metrics & Reporting
Maintain ongoing tracking of remediation status
Produce periodic reports summarizing risk posture, progress, and trends
Validation & Closure
Validate remediation using scan results and supporting evidence
Confirm closure of vulnerabilities in tracking systems
Ensure proper documentation for risk acceptance or exception cases
Program Improvement
Identify process gaps and systemic issues impacting remediation effectiveness
Provide recommendations to improve vulnerability management processes and accountability
Required Skills
Strong experience in Vulnerability Management and Remediation Programs
Knowledge of NIST frameworks and risk-based prioritization
Experience working with vulnerability scanning tools and remediation tracking
Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills
Experience with reporting, metrics, and governance processes
