Pay Rate - $45/hr on W2/Danta Technologies Payroll About the RoleOur client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design and manufacturing of Large Mining Trucks (Rigid Frame – Electric Drive). This role is factory-embedded and focused on heavy fabricated and cast metallic components, supporting new product introduction, manufacturing quality, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities- Design and develop steering linkages, axles, and heavy fabricated structures
- Support new product introductions (NPI) and design-for-manufacturing efforts
- Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and suppliers
- Perform 3D CAD modeling, drawing creation, and design revisions
- Review and mark up drawings for manufacturability and quality
- Provide shop-floor support for design-related manufacturing issues
- Perform basic FEA as required
Required Qualifications- BS in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Civil Engineering
- 8+ years Mechanical Design Engineering experience
- Strong CAD skills (Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
- Experience with:
- Welded fabrications
- Metal castings
- Machining & forming processes
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in office + shop floor environments
Preferred Skills- Creo Simulate, Ansys, Nastran (basic FEA)
- Tooling or machining process knowledge
- Heavy equipment, mining, construction, or off-highway experience
