Overview

  • Provides support for and/or assistance with products or engineering processes. Technicians at this level perform appropriate tests using existing procedures for process control and failure analysis.
  • Responsibilities include routine analysis of materials, manufacturing processes, and methods; assisting with problem identification and resolution; conducting root cause analysis ,tracking corrective actions; supporting reliability analysis; and contributing to verification/validation test plan development.
  • Provides guidance on test procedures to engineers and support personnel and requires knowledge of lab testing equipment and technologies.

Required Education:

  • Associate's degree (A.S.) in Mechatronics, Electronics, or related field
  • OR two-year technical diploma
  • OR equivalent military certification or experience

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering required
  • 7+ years preferred

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and electronic components.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to read advanced engineering schematics and diagrams.
  • Experience with ERP, Agile, EMES, or similar systems.
  • Ability to maintain product documentation and records.
  • Ability to interpret product/process datasheets.
  • Ability to assemble/disassemble products including prototypes.
  • Intermediate mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to train technicians and operators.
  • Basic knowledge or ability to learn Studio 5000 and ladder logic for PLC controls.
  • Basic experience or ability to learn advanced robot systems (Fanuc / UR Robots).
  • Ability to research, analyze, and summarize technical data.
  • Knowledge of or participation in PFMEA reviews.
