Deep NOMAD 4GL expertise (Select Business Solutions)
Mainframe administration/support, including z/VM
Mainframe database/data technologies: DB2, IMS, IDMS, Adabas, VSAM, etc.
NOMAD upgrades, troubleshooting & legacy modernization/migration experience
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary SME for the NOMAD Fourth Generation Language (4GL) environment.
Administer, configure, maintain, and upgrade the NOMAD platform.
Support developers utilizing NOMAD for application development and data access.
Collaborate with mainframe systems teams on platform stability, performance, and maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot and resolve NOMAD-related application and infrastructure issues.
Evaluate platform architecture and provide recommendations for modernization or migration strategies.
Assist with potential migration efforts from NOMAD to alternative technologies.
Document processes, standards, and operational procedures.
