Description: Job Title: Software QA Engineer
Role Overview

As a Software QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of both application and embedded software. You will design and execute test strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive improvements in testing processes to support the delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test cases for application and embedded software.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues using bug tracking tools.
  • Collaborate with developers, hardware engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and design effective test strategies.
  • Analyze test results, provide feedback, and recommend improvements to enhance software performance and reliability.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies to improve product quality and reduce time-to-market.
Preferred Background
  • Experience testing safety-critical software systems (e.g., automotive, medical devices).
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA guidelines and IEC 62304 for medical software development.
  • ISTQB or similar quality assurance certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with exposure to both application software and hardware systems.
  • Strong understanding of communication protocols (EtherCAT, CAN, UART).
  • Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS), Windows, and Linux environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python for automation testing.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
