Description: Job Title: Software QA Engineer
Role Overview

As a Software QA Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of both application and embedded software. You will design and execute test strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive improvements in testing processes to support the delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test cases for application and embedded software.
Identify, document, and track software defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues using bug tracking tools.
Collaborate with developers, hardware engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and design effective test strategies.
Analyze test results, provide feedback, and recommend improvements to enhance software performance and reliability.
Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies to improve product quality and reduce time-to-market.

Preferred Background

Experience testing safety-critical software systems (e.g., automotive, medical devices).
Familiarity with regulatory standards such as FDA guidelines and IEC 62304 for medical software development.
ISTQB or similar quality assurance certification is a plus.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with exposure to both application software and hardware systems.
Strong understanding of communication protocols (EtherCAT, CAN, UART).
Experience working with real-time operating systems (RTOS), Windows, and Linux environments.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python for automation testing.
Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
