Job Details
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing month-end close processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities and payment channels. This role is ideal for someone with experience in payments, SaaS, events, hospitality, or other high-volume transaction environments who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving business.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting skills with operational awareness and enjoys partnering cross-functionally to improve financial processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and execute month-end and year-end close activities
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Reconcile payment processor activity, merchant accounts, bank accounts, and cash transactions
Assist with revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP/ASC 606
Support financial statement preparation and reporting processes
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
Partner with operations, product, and customer success teams to resolve financial discrepancies
Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements
Analyze financial data and provide insights to leadership
Support system implementations, automation initiatives, and process improvements
Ensure accuracy across multi-entity and multi-currency transactions where applicable
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in payments, SaaS, events, hospitality, fintech, or high-volume transactional environments
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
Experience with payment reconciliations, deferred revenue, and revenue recognition preferred
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
CPA or CPA-track preferred but not required
Preferred Experience
Payments or fintech industry exposure
SaaS subscription accounting
Hospitality or event-based accounting operations
Multi-currency or international accounting experience
Experience working in a scaling or high-growth company
