Location: Kent, Washington (Hybrid)

Role Overview
Under direct supervision of experienced staff, you will prepare solutions to a range of technical problems by applying standard engineering practices. This role involves supporting project managers and coordinators with residential and non-commercial projects. The position requires a flexible schedule, including initial on-site training and the potential for occasional fieldwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various engineering tasks, primarily involving CAD design.
- Need to have AutoCAD experience.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, designs, specifications, and standards.
- Create and update job work orders and project documentation.
- Conduct office and field research, including measurement and verification of equipment data.
- Review engineering and records documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform data and records management, and document research for system compliance.
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and design requirements.
- Support emergency response work as requested.
Required Qualifications
Education: High School graduate with technical field experience, a drafting certificate, or equivalent relevant work experience. A two-year technical degree is favorable.
Experience: A minimum of two years of drafting and CAD experience. Experience with AUD is a plus, and the ability to read civil documents is helpful.
Technical Skills: Proficient with PC software and database applications. Must have AutoCAD experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Construction or utility experience.
- Familiarity with costing.
Compensation
The pay rate for this position is expected to be between $35.00 and $45.00 per hour.
