Location: Remote (Preferably Boston Area / Northeast EST)

Note: Candidate should be available for on-call support on a rotation basis.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Citrix Administrator to manage, support, and optimize enterprise-scale Citrix environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops, Citrix ADC (NetScaler), and related technologies, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of the infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, troubleshoot, and optimize Citrix infrastructure, including:
    • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
    • Citrix ADC (NetScaler)
    • Citrix StoreFront
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of Citrix-related issues and escalate to vendors when required.
  • Configure and maintain Citrix policies, profiles, and group policies to enhance the end-user experience.
  • Manage Citrix licensing, monitoring, and capacity planning to maintain optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with networking, security, and server teams to maintain a secure Citrix environment.
  • Provide Windows Server OS-level troubleshooting related to Citrix platforms.
  • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting.
  • Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal business disruption.
  • Implement security best practices including:
    • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
    • Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
  • Maintain proper documentation of configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience managing Citrix environments
  • Minimum 2 years experience at Level 3 support capacity

Strong expertise in:

  • Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenApp / Xen Desktop)
  • Citrix ADC (NetScaler)
  • Citrix StoreFront
  • Citrix Director
  • Citrix Profile Management

Additional technical skills:

  • Windows Server Administration
  • Active Directory
  • Group Policy
  • DNS / DHCP
  • PowerShell scripting for automation
  • Citrix monitoring tools:
