We have an immediate opportunity for an IBM Sterling Integrator Administrator based in Plano, TX, USA. This is a key leadership role within a dynamic environment, requiring strong expertise in B2B/EDI platforms and enterprise system administration across on-premise and cloud infrastructures.
As a Lead Sterling Integrator Administration Consultant, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the IBM Sterling Integrator platform, ensuring high availability and performance of critical business processes. You will handle day-to-day administration activities including monitoring systems, managing clusters, adapters, queues, purge processes, and business workflows. The role involves performing system startup and shutdown activities, handling application and infrastructure-related incidents, and quickly troubleshooting issues to determine root cause and resolution. You will also work closely with infrastructure and database teams for performance tuning, patching, and system optimization while ensuring adherence to SLAs.
You will be expected to have a strong understanding of network fundamentals including load balancers, firewalls, IP configurations, and cloud architecture. Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems, shell scripting, and backend command execution within Sterling Integrator is essential. Additionally, you will lead a team, delegate tasks effectively, manage critical incidents, perform RCA, and communicate updates to senior stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of IT experience with at least 10 years in B2B/EDI tools and 7+ years specifically in IBM Sterling Integrator administration. Strong expertise in Sterling Integrator 6.x, system health checks, performance tuning, database structures, and security protocols (certificates, firewall rules) is required. Experience working with cloud platforms, containerized environments, and cross-functional teams is highly preferred. Knowledge of scripting (Shell, Perl) and programming languages like Python or Java will be an added advantage.
Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to work in high-pressure, 24x7 support environments. Relevant cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) are a plus.
