DNS Engineer

Location: Plano, TX | McLean, VA | Richmond, VA (3 Days / Week)

Duration: 12-month+

Role Summary

Seeking a DNS Engineer to manage and support enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) services across on-prem and cloud environments, with a strong focus on AWS Route 53 and DNS security.

Key Responsibilities

Support and maintain the enterprise DNS infrastructure
Manage AWS Route 53 records and hosted zones
Integrate DNS, DHCP, and IPAM platforms
Troubleshoot DNS resolution and performance issues
Implement DNS security best practices
Automate DNS tasks using scripting tools

Required Skills

Strong DNS fundamentals
Hands-on AWS Route 53
Experience with Infoblox, BlueCat, BIND, or PowerDNS
DNS security and troubleshooting
Python / Ansible (preferred)
