Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Data Analyst for our client based out of Greensboro, NC.

This assignment is anticipated to be a 12-month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.

This will also have a first-shift Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to product quality, reliability, operational performance, and customer experience.
  • Develop and implement analytical methodologies to support emerging issue detection, forecasting, predictive analytics, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Perform end-to-end analytics activities including data acquisition, cleansing, structuring, modeling, visualization, statistical analysis, and recommendation development.
  • Work with multiple data sources including operational, customer, service, manufacturing, warranty, and connected-product datasets.
  • Design and build data pipelines, analytics workflows, and reporting solutions to support business and technical stakeholders.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations that translate complex findings into actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate closely with data analysts, data engineers, data architects, data scientists, engineers, and operational stakeholders to deploy and maintain analytics solutions.
  • Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to support classification, regression, clustering, forecasting, anomaly detection, and reliability analysis initiatives.
  • Support root cause investigations and problem-solving activities using advanced analytics and data-driven methodologies.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and business impacts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and help advance analytics capabilities across the organization.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting analytics initiatives in a technical, engineering, manufacturing, quality, or operational environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Power BI for dashboard development, reporting, and data visualization.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing large datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with KNIME and Databricks for analytics workflow development and data pipeline design.
  • Experience using Python and/or R for statistical analysis, data science, and automation.
  • Experience working with Jupyter Notebook environments.
  • Exposure to Apache Spark and cloud-based analytics platforms, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or similar Azure analytics services.
  • Understanding of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques, including classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection methodologies.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms such as Random Forest, K-Means, Logistic Regression, and Linear Regression.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering concepts and tools such as ReliaSoft, including Weibull analysis, life data analysis, and FMEA methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to diverse audiences.

  • Experience with software development practices including version control, code reviews, and unit testing.
  • Exposure to data engineering or data architecture concepts.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience supporting operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience working in global, cross-functional environments.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
