Telecommuting is available. The employee must be able to come into the office at least three (3) days per week.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead projects and serve as a lead engineer, making key technical decisions and coordinating development efforts;
  2. Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and expertise to help them grow;
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists, product managers, project managers, and engineers, to design and implement new features;
  4. Develop cloud-based applications and services that support scientists in life science research;
  5. Focus on web development using AWS and other cloud infrastructures for scalable, reliable solutions;
  6. Engage in full-stack development tasks, including designing databases and implementing REST APIs;
  7. Understand and debug C++ and C code when necessary to resolve issues or provide quick fixes in existing systems;
  8. Work with JavaScript, TypeScript, YAML, React, Electron, Git, JIRA, Azure DevOps, and Linux;
  9. Develop effective user-facing and internal documentation for software, products, and applications;
  10. Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and best practices as the projects evolve; and
  11. Ensure high quality and performance through code reviews, testing, and engineering best practices.


Telecommuting is available. The employee msut be able to come into the office at least three (3) days per week.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Employer requires a master's degree in computer science or a related field and five (5) years of work experience as a Software Developer, or related occupation. In addition, the employer requires the following:

  1. Demonstrated ability mentoring junior software developers and guiding cross-functional teams gained through two (2) years of work experience;
  2. Demonstrated ability gathering requirements to accurately interpret complex stakeholder needs, align technical tasks with business objectives, and minimize project risk through effective communication and documentation gained through four (4) years of work experience;
  3. Demonstrated ability using JavaScript, TypeScript, Git, and AWS gained through five (5) years of work experience;
  4. Demonstrated ability using React and Azure Devops gained through four (4) years of work experience;
  5. Demonstrated ability using Electron, YAML, and Linux gained through two (2) years of work experience; and
  6. Demonstrated ability using JIRA and Github gained through one (1) year of work experience.


All years of experience may be gained concurrently.

This position is eligible for EMD Millipore Corporation's Employee Referral Program.

Salary range is $178,131 per year to $182,000 per year. Compensation is based on experience, location, and other factors. We offer generous benefits packages: ;br>
