Summary
We are seeking a Senior ETL Engineer with strong healthcare domain experience to design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines on AWS. This role focuses on processing healthcare claims data and ensuring secure, reliable, and high-quality data delivery for analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, PySpark, and SQL
- Process and validate healthcare claims data (EDI 837, 835, 270/271, 276/277)
- Build and optimize data models in Amazon Redshift, Athena, and S3
- Orchestrate workflows using Airflow (MWAA) and related AWS services
- Ensure data quality, governance, and HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with analytics, product, and compliance teams
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in ETL/data engineering and SQL
- Hands-on experience with AWS (Glue, Redshift, Athena, S3)
- Healthcare data experience, especially claims and EDI transactions
- Proficiency in Python/PySpark
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare data standards
Nice to Have:
- dbt, Iceberg, or streaming tools (Kinesis/Kafka)
- AWS certification
- HL7/FHIR experience
