Description

We are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This contract position offers the potential for a permanent role and involves ensuring the reliability and functionality of critical airport financial applications through a combination of manual and automated testing. The ideal candidate will thrive in structured, compliance-driven environments and possess strong testing, data validation, and defect management skills.

Responsibilities:

Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure application reliability.

Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Protractor.

Conduct backend data validation and integrity checks using Microsoft SQL Server.

Identify, log, and track software defects with clear documentation using tools like Azure DevOps.

Maintain and enhance automation test suites for both UI and API testing.

Collaborate with development and business teams during Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Support build and deployment cycles by validating releases and ensuring quality standards are met.

Contribute to the creation of comprehensive test plans, strategies, and documentation.

Ensure compliance with audit and traceability requirements within a regulated environment.

Requirements

Proven experience in manual testing, including creating test cases and exploratory testing.

Proficiency in web automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Protractor.

Expertise in database testing, including writing queries and validating data in Microsoft SQL Server.
