Role Overview:
We're looking for a Practice Lead to scale, and lead our Digital Experience Design (DXD) practice across the US market. This role reports to the Global Head of Digital Engineering, Data and AI for the firm. You'll define the practice vision and strategy, lead and grow a world-class design team, help propel our experience and agentic design standards and methodologies forward, and serve as the senior design voice in client relationships and business development. This is a leadership role that balances practice management, client engagement, team growth, and design excellence. You will shape how we work, what we deliver, and how we position design as a strategic partner to our clients.
In this role, you will:
  • Build and scale the DXD practice: Define practice strategy, establish design methodologies, create service offerings, and set the standard for how we deliver design excellence.
  • Lead and grow the design team: Recruit top talent, mentor designers at all levels, establish career frameworks, and create a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Drive business development: Partner with sales and account teams to identify opportunities, scope design engagements, and serve as the senior design voice in client pitches and proposals.
  • Manage client relationships: Act as trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, guiding design strategy across multiple products and ensuring alignment between business goals, user needs, and technical constraints.
  • Establish design standards: Define and evolve our programmatic design systems, AI-assisted workflows, accessibility practices, and quality assurance processes.
  • Champion thought leadership: Represent the practice externally through speaking engagements, articles, case studies, and industry participation.
  • Ensure operational excellence: Oversee resource planning, project staffing, utilization, and profitability across the practice.
  • Foster cross-practice collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and strategy leaders to create integrated solutions for clients.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in product design, with at least 5 years in leadership roles managing teams and building design practices.
  • Proven track record of practice or studio management: hiring and developing talent, defining service offerings, managing P&L, and scaling design operations.
  • Experience in consulting or agency environments, managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in client relationship management, business development, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
  • Deep expertise in design strategy across complex, multi-product ecosystems, with the ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
  • Fluent in modern design tools and methodologies: Figma (including design systems and tokens), design ops, Agile/Lean workflows, and emerging AI-assisted design tools.
  • Experience establishing and scaling design systems, accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA), and quality frameworks across multiple teams and clients.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills, comfortable presenting to C-level executives and leading strategic workshops.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and grow designers at all levels, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Background in enterprise-scale SaaS, fintech, healthcare, or multi-brand ecosystems.
