Business Analyst – Foreign Exchange (FX) Sales / FX Domain

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) with strong expertise in Foreign Exchange (FX) Sales and Trading to support strategic initiatives within the Global Markets division. The ideal candidate should possess deep domain knowledge in FX products, sales workflows, trade lifecycle, and banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

· Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for FX Sales and Trading initiatives.

· Work closely with FX Sales, Traders, Operations, Compliance, and Technology teams to understand business needs.

· Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, process flows, and use cases.

· Analyze and document the end-to-end FX trade lifecycle from trade capture through settlement.

· Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirement elicitation sessions.

· Support UAT planning, test case creation, execution, and defect management.

· Collaborate with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements.

· Perform gap analysis, impact analysis, and support change management activities.

· Ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are incorporated into solutions.

Required Skills

· 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Capital Markets/Banking.

· Strong domain expertise in Foreign Exchange (FX) Sales & Trading.

· Hands-on experience with:

o   Spot FX

o   Forward FX

o   FX Swaps

o   NDFs (Non-Deliverable Forwards)

o   Options (preferred)

· Excellent understanding of the FX trade lifecycle.

· Experience working with front-office stakeholders including Sales and Traders.

· Strong knowledge of:

o   Trade Capture

o   Pricing

o   Booking

o   Confirmation

o   Settlement

o   Reconciliation

· Experience in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall methodologies.

· Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

· Experience working with investment banks, asset management firms, or custodian banks.

· Prior experience with Murex, Calypso, Bloomberg, Reuters, or FX trading platforms.

· Experience in regulatory reporting and compliance within Capital Markets.

· Knowledge of SQL and data analysis tools is a plus.
