Job Description

We are seeking experienced Network Administrator 2 professionals to support enterprise network infrastructure for a Texas state government agency. The selected candidates will be responsible for network planning, design, administration, monitoring, integration, maintenance, and Tier III support.

Candidates should have strong enterprise networking expertise, hands-on Aruba network device administration, SAN networking, VPN tunneling, cloud networking, and network security experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience administering enterprise networks across multiple remote locations.
• Minimum 3 years of experience implementing and maintaining Site-to-Site/IPsec tunneling.
• Minimum 3 years of experience configuring and managing network monitoring tools.
• Minimum 3 years of experience administering SAN architecture and networking, including SAN switches, routers, bridges, and protocols such as iSCSI, FCoE, AoE, and FCP.
• Minimum 2 years of experience administering cloud networking.
• Minimum 1 year of experience administering networks in virtualized environments.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing Aruba network devices.
• Mandatory certification: CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE.
• Strong Tier III network troubleshooting, incident resolution, and network security skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Aruba ClearPass and Aruba Central.
• Experience coordinating with vendor support teams.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
• Temp-to-hire eligibility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations.
• Implement and troubleshoot Site-to-Site VPN and IPsec tunnels.
• Manage network monitoring tools and investigate network performance issues.
• Support SAN networking infrastructure and related protocols.
• Administer cloud-based and virtualized network environments.
• Configure and manage Aruba network devices.
• Provide Tier III support for network-related service requests and incidents.
• Follow security best practices and maintain reliable network operations.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex network issues.

Additional Information

• Hybrid work arrangement based in Austin, TX.
• Candidates may be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Estimated contract period: November 2026 through May 2027.
