DescriptionSRC's Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity for college students to obtain meaningful work experience through on-the-job training assignments.
- Taking an active part in the design, development, integration, and testing of site projects
- Providing engineering support for technical problems and recommending a course of action
- Assisting senior engineers on complex problems, as assigned
- Reporting individual and group project status
- Developing and presenting a summer capstone project to division leadership
- May work across multiple programs in both a team environment and independently to perform their assigned tasks

Requirements- Searching for students majoring in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA)
- Eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Interpersonal skills that augment performance within a team environment
- Professional communication skills to include interaction with engineering team members and management in informal and formal settings
Desired Skills- MatLab, Python, or C/C++ experience
- Experience in reviewing and evaluating design calculations and data from an engineering perspective
- Must be able to read design/construction drawings and be able to understand design narratives and calculations
- Technical writing skills to be applied in preparing manuals, parts lists, proposals and design documentation
