JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Sr. Technical Lead, Software Engineering would deliver value to customers through implementation, technical configurations, and providing technical recommendations and solutions to business problems. They shape and improve the experience of key Vertafore clients. They work cross-functionally across Vertafore, including Customer Support, Account Management, Professional Services, Product Development and Product Management to help guide the client. You will be hands on, involved in designing solutions and flexible services that expose core capabilities to different applications and user bases, and leading teams to achieve the vision through active mentoring, technical decision-making, and facilitating company-wide collaboration. All of this will be accomplished with cutting edge, lean-agile, software development methodologies. Core Requirements and Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:
  • Develop forward thinking, technical implementation recommendations that align with clients' business objectives.
  • Responsible for developing new features and supporting/bug fixing existing features
  • Configure or design the required complex reports or integrations
  • Provides input to the project plan or estimating the implementation cost
  • Develops implementation tools and processes on need basis
  • Should mentor or coach the team members.
  • Should conduct reviews and deliver demos to team and/or customers.
  • Troubleshoot/root cause analysis to the customer challenges and helps in resolving them
  • Requires to be a release engineer to ensure all the configurations to be deployed in all the implementation environments and maintain the health of the environments.
  • Work on performance issues that come across during the customer experience and ensure to implement the changes required
  • Need to ensure all the committed timelines are met as defined
  • Need to be able to coordinate with other teams across the Vertafore/Vendor(s) to ensure that the task which requires investigation are completed on time
  • Share what they know by mentoring other team members Closely follow industry trends and the open-source community

Skills & Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Have an intense passion for building software and mentoring their teams
  • Are very strong in both design and implementation at an enterprise level
  • 8 to 10 years of professional experience with OOPs, C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET, MVC, WebAPI/Rest API, Angular, IIS, SQL, ReactJs, Design Principles and Patterns, CI/CD, Micro Services.
  • Are in-tune with high performance and high availability design/programming
  • Have experience in security best practices for software and data platforms
  • Design 'perfect-fit' solutions with engineering teams and business units to drive business growth and customer delight
  • Enjoy solving problems through the entire application stack
  • Are interested and capable of learning other programming languages as needed.
