Join Our Event Operations Team Citadel Security USA is seeking dependable and service oriented Unarmed Event Security Officers to support public events, cultural venues, and community facilities throughout the Denver metropolitan area. Every assignment offers a unique environment, providing opportunities to work with diverse audiences while helping maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Assignments may include indoor and outdoor venues where professionalism, strong communication, and situational awareness are essential.
Potential Assignment Locations Security Officers may be scheduled at locations including:
- Adams County
- Denver Museum
- Libraries throughout the Denver metro area
- Additional event venues as operational needs require
Key Responsibilities Event & Facility Security - Perform scheduled interior and exterior foot patrols
- Monitor assigned areas for safety concerns or unusual activity
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout the event or facility
- Help protect guests, employees, vendors, and client property
- Observe entrances, exits, gathering areas, and restricted locations
Customer Service - Welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Provide directions and general assistance when appropriate
- Answer routine questions while supporting a positive guest experience
- Communicate respectfully with attendees, staff, contractors, and event personnel
Incident Response - Address minor disturbances using effective verbal communication
- Utilize conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques when appropriate
- Notify supervisors of security concerns, emergencies, or policy violations
- Assist with emergency procedures in accordance with site guidelines
Documentation - Complete daily activity reports before the end of each shift
- Prepare accurate incident reports when required
- Record observations and significant events using company reporting procedures
- Maintain complete and professional documentation
Minimum Qualifications - Must be at least 18 years of age
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Professional verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to remain attentive in busy public environments
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications - Previous experience in event security, customer service, hospitality, or public safety
- Experience working at festivals, museums, fairs, libraries, sporting events, or community venues
- Strong observation and conflict resolution skills
- Experience preparing incident reports or activity documentation
Work Environment - Assignments may be indoors or outdoors
- Regular interaction with members of the public
- Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift
- Evening, weekends, holidays, and special event schedules may be available
- Work locations and hours vary based on event calendars and client needs
