Backend Developer (Node.JS)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Node.js Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, RESTful APIs, and NoSQL databases. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build reliable, high-performance applications while following best practices in testing, automation, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Node.js
• Build scalable and secure RESTful APIs
• Develop data models and integrate with MongoDB / NoSQL databases
• Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, and product teams
• Implement efficient business logic and asynchronous workflows
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Develop and maintain GraphQL APIs (if applicable)
• Create unit and integration tests using Jest / Jasmine
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Ensure adherence to security, scalability, and reliability standards

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js
• Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development
• Experience working with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest or Jasmine
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
