Seeking a Network Security Analyst to support cloud vulnerability remediation, patch management, and security compliance initiatives within a large enterprise environment. This role will identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities across cloud infrastructure while partnering with security, cloud operations, and application teams to maintain a secure and compliant cloud environment. Ideal candidates will have experience with cloud platforms, vulnerability management, change management processes, and security hardening. Hybrid opportunity requiring onsite presence in Austin, TX four days per week.

Job Responsibilities
- Review and analyze vulnerability findings identified through approved security scanning and assessment tools.
- Assess vulnerability applicability and business risk across cloud infrastructure and platform services.
- Execute remediation activities including patching, configuration updates, and security hardening.
- Validate remediation efforts and confirm successful resolution of security findings.
- Perform cloud-based patching and update activities following approved operational procedures.
- Implement security configuration changes and compensating controls when vendor fixes are unavailable.
- Create and maintain remediation tasks, change records, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure all remediation activities adhere to established change management and approval processes.
- Provide remediation status updates and audit evidence for leadership, compliance, and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with security, cloud architecture, and application teams to resolve complex vulnerabilities.
- Identify recurring security issues, remediation blockers, and process improvement opportunities.
- Support initiatives to reduce technical debt and strengthen cloud security posture.
qualifications:
Qualifications:
3+ years of professional IT experience with hands-on exposure to cloud infrastructure, system administration, or vulnerability remediation.
3+ years of experience supporting cloud-hosted systems in an enterprise environment.
Strong understanding of vulnerability remediation concepts including patching, security hardening, and compensating controls.
Familiarity with IT service management and change management processes.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Ability to follow established security procedures and remediation workflows.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with enterprise vulnerability management programs and remediation SLAs.
Knowledge of cloud security posture management, security baselines, and risk reporting.
Relevant cloud or cybersecurity certifications.
Experience supporting security compliance and audit requirements.
