Summary

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Laboratory Technician for an Onsite position with a Major Pharmaceutical Company located in Millsboro, DE. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.

This is an entry-level position responsible for critical laboratory procedures in the production of veterinary products. The successful candidate will work with a variety of technical equipment to complete cell culture processes, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within an aseptic clean room environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform procedures including aseptic work, media preparation, antigen inoculation and harvest, tissue culture preparation and harvest, and filling vaccines
  • Maintain accurate and reliable record keeping including charts, log books, and all pertinent documentation
  • Communicate any unusual and/or non-routine occurrences when performing tasks
  • Perform cleaning of work areas; prepare, clean and sterilize glassware and equipment for use
  • Conduct equipment setup and operation
  • Handle hazardous materials such as Isopropyl Alcohol, Hydrogen peroxide, Phenolic Disinfectants, and Oxidizers

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or High School diploma with commensurate experience
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience
  • Aseptic/clean room environment experience
  • Experience using lab equipment such as PH meters and UniFuge
  • Experience measuring components and reading/following SOP's
  • Prior SAP experience
  • Ability to work a schedule of four 10-hour days
  • Must pass a physical abilities test prior to starting

  • Vaccine knowledge
  • Effective writing, oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Pay range: up to $22.54 per hour
