Position Overview
As an Automation QA specializing in Playwright and TypeScript, you will play a pivotal role in the transition to a modern automation platform. You will be responsible for developing automated scripts, setting up deployment processes, and engaging in high-level discussions with DevOps teams regarding CI/CD pipelines. While testing experience is valuable, this role primarily focuses on development tasks with a strong emphasis on Playwright and TypeScript expertise. This is a lead role for the Automation team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automated scripts using Playwright and TypeScript to support testing and automation efforts.
- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to design and implement efficient CI/CD pipelines.
- Engage in high-level discussions with DevOps teams to determine tooling preferences and infrastructure requirements for containerization and deployment.
- Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for Playwright, TypeScript, and automation development.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize automation processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to automation and DevOps practices.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in an automation role.
Technical Skills:- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with mandatory experience in Playwright.
- Solid understanding of software development principles and practices.
- Strong proficiency in Postman for API testing and automation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools, such as GitLab, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience in collaborating with DevOps teams and driving discussions around infrastructure and deployment strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Python is a plus.
Pay Range
The pay range for this position is $45.00/hour to $50.00/hour.
