Summary

The CAD Specialist is responsible for preparing, updating, and maintaining high-quality technical drawings and design documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. This

role supports engineers, project managers, and design teams by producing accurate, detailed drawings that align with client standards, project requirements, and

industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and revise 2D and 3D drawings, plans, profiles, and details using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Interpret engineering sketches, field notes, redlines, and markups to produce accurate design documents.
  • Maintain drawing accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client standards and internal QA/QC requirements.
  • Organize and manage drawing files, layers, styles, and templates.
  • Coordinate with engineers and project managers to resolve design conflicts and incorporate updates.
  • Assist with utility mapping, alignment adjustments, and design modifications.
  • Support the preparation of construction packages, as-builts, and record drawings.
  • Ensure all drawings meet quality, clarity, and documentation standards before submittal.
  • Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback promptly.
  • Maintain familiarity with industry standards, CAD best practices, and client specifications.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience preparing utility, civil, or infrastructure drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering information.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Experience with gas, electric, water, or telecom utility design is a plus
