Job Description
We are seeking an Application Programmer III to join our Global Financial Crimes technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in full-stack Java development and Angular and a proven ability to design, build, and optimize data-intensive, distributed applications that meet defined acceptance criteria.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications in the Global Financial Crimes environment.
- Collaborate with business partners to define requirements and validate acceptance criteria.
- Write clean, testable code and perform unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Debug complex issues and document designs, code changes, and operational procedures.
- Partner with multiple technology teams to implement target architecture and migrate to strategic platforms.
- Contribute as an individual contributor within an Agile delivery model.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of full-stack experience in end-to-end Java application development.
- 4+ years of hands-on Angular development.
- Strong Core Java skills including multithreading, Collections API, JDBC, and use of Java profiling tools.
- Experience tuning performance for data-intensive applications.
- Proficient coding, debugging, and analytical abilities.
- Experience delivering software using Agile methodologies and processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in enterprise stress testing.
- Experience with Elastic, Hadoop, Teradata, or other big data distributed ecosystems.
- Knowledge of cloud or distributed computing.
- Creative problem solver with a record of implementing innovative technology solutions.
