Summary

Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst with experience supporting Electronic Health Record (EHR) initiatives to help define and refine organizational needs tied to clinical, operational, and patient-facing technologies in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This long-term contract position will partner with project leadership, healthcare stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to analyze workflows, gather requirements, and support the planning and delivery of EHR enhancements and related healthcare technology initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, clear documentation skills, and the ability to guide conversations that lead to validated business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Gather, evaluate, and organize business, clinical, operational, data, reporting, and regulatory requirements related to electronic health record (EHR) systems, workflows, integrations, and enhancement initiatives.

Convert stakeholder goals, clinical workflow expectations, patient care requirements, and business challenges into precise, measurable, and technology-neutral requirements that support EHR optimization and implementation efforts.

Assess requests across clinical, administrative, and support departments to identify common EHR needs, justified workflow variations, conflicting priorities, and opportunities to improve standardization and adoption.

Lead requirements gathering and review sessions with physicians, nurses, operational leaders, and other stakeholders to validate EHR-related requirements, workflow impacts, and desired outcomes.

Map current and future-state clinical and operational workflows to identify process gaps, EHR configuration needs, downstream impacts, data dependencies, and opportunities to improve patient care delivery and efficiency.

Produce key analysis deliverables such as workflow diagrams, use cases, gap analyses, business rules, data mapping documentation, and requirements traceability matrices supporting EHR projects.

Support testing and validation efforts by developing EHR-focused test scenarios, coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT), documenting issues, and confirming readiness for workflow, application, and process changes.

Work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate analysis activities, stakeholder engagement, milestone reviews, and delivery timelines across multiple concurrent efforts.

Communicate open questions, risks, dependencies, and decision points to project stakeholders while supporting EHR enhancements, system upgrades, interoperability initiatives, workflow optimization efforts, and patient-facing functionality change

Requirements

3-5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with strong preference for work in government, public health, healthcare, or other service-focused environments.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
Demonstrated experience leading requirements elicitation, prioritization discussions, and structured stakeholder review sessions.
Proven ability to create executive-ready reports, workflow documentation, process maps, and risk or gap analysis materials.
Hands-on knowledge of business analysis practices, document review, and requirements management throughout the project lifecycle.
Familiarity with Agile Scrum principles and experience working in collaborative, cross-functional project environments.
Preferred training or certification in Lean Six Sigma, project management, change management, business analysis, or a related discipline.
