Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Firewall Rules Analyst with strong Checkpoint Firewall expertise to join an 18-month contract with HSBC. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in Spanish and English and have hands-on experience reviewing firewall requests, validating network security changes, and assessing security risks in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and assess firewall and network security requests.
• Perform cyber security and compliance reviews.
• Validate proposed network and firewall changes.
• Participate in project and security review meetings.
• Identify security risks and recommend appropriate controls.
• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders across North and South America.
• Approve or reject firewall rule requests based on security and compliance standards.
• Note: This role is focused on reviewing and validating firewall requests. The analyst will not be responsible for implementing firewall changes.

Required Skills:

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (Mandatory).
• Strong experience reviewing firewall rule requests and security controls.
• Hands-on experience with Checkpoint Firewalls.
• Solid understanding of network security, firewall technologies, ports, protocols, and network access requirements.
• Ability to assess firewall rule requests and identify associated security risks.
• Excellent understanding of enterprise security policies and compliance.

Soft Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge of network security.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and security risks to non-technical business users.
• Customer-facing and business-facing experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Proxy Technologies.
• Exposure to Fortinet and Cisco Security technologies.
