Enterprise Architect

Role Overview

The Enterprise Architect Cloud & Platform is responsible for defining and governing the organization s cloud strategy, platform architecture, and technology roadmap. This role ensures alignment between business goals and IT capabilities, driving scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture Strategy & Governance

• Define enterprise-wide cloud and platform architecture strategy.

• Establish architecture principles, standards, and governance frameworks.

• Lead architecture review boards and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

• Align IT strategy with business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.

Cloud Architecture & Transformation

• Design and oversee cloud-native, hybrid, and multi-cloud architectures.

• Lead cloud migration strategies (rehost, replatform, refactor).

• Define best practices for cloud adoption, including landing zones and reference architectures.

• Optimize cloud cost, performance, and scalability.

Platform Engineering

• Define enterprise platform strategy (PaaS, containers, DevOps platforms).

• Drive adoption of platform engineering practices and reusable services.

• Standardize CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automation.

• Enable developer productivity through internal developer platforms.

Technology Leadership

• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption.

• Provide technical leadership to solution architects and engineering teams.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across business, IT, and security.

Security & Compliance

• Ensure cloud security architecture aligns with enterprise security policies.

• Define identity & access management, data protection, and compliance frameworks.

• Work closely with security teams to mitigate risks.

Stakeholder Management

• Engage with senior leadership (CIO, CTO, business heads).

• Translate business requirements into technical strategies.

• Drive cross-functional collaboration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience

• 12 18+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in enterprise architecture.

• Proven experience in large-scale cloud transformation programs.

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in at least one cloud platform:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Google Cloud Platform

• Experience with:

  • Microservices architecture

  • Containers (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • DevOps & CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

• Strong knowledge of:

  • API management

  • Integration patterns

  • Data platforms and distributed systems

Architecture Frameworks

• Expertise in:

  • TOGAF

  • Zachman Framework

• Experience with domain-driven design and enterprise integration patterns.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, Google Cloud Platform Architect)

• Experience with FinOps and cost optimization strategies

• Exposure to AI/ML and data platforms

• Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.)
