We are seeking an experienced Data Architect with 15+ years of experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale data architectures within the Healthcare domain.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Operational Transactional and Longitudinal Patient (OTLP) Data Modeling, healthcare data integration, cloud-based data platforms, and enterprise data governance.
This role will be responsible for defining data architecture strategies, creating scalable healthcare data models, enabling clinical and business analytics, and supporting regulatory compliance requirements across healthcare ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
Data Architecture & OTLP Modeling Design and maintain enterprise-wide OTLP (Operational Transactional and Longitudinal Patient) data models for healthcare applications.
Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting patient, provider, claims, pharmacy, and clinical data domains.
Create scalable architectures that support real-time, batch, and longitudinal healthcare data processing. Define data standards, metadata frameworks, and master data management strategies.
Drive data lake, data warehouse, and healthcare data platform architectures.
Healthcare Data Integration Architect solutions integrating data from: EHR/EMR systems Claims platforms Pharmacy systems Laboratory systems Care management solutions Design data ingestion frameworks leveraging HL7, FHIR, X12, CDA, and other healthcare interoperability standards.
Collaborate with integration teams to establish end-to-end healthcare data flows.
Cloud Data Platform Architecture Design modern healthcare data platforms on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Architect scalable solutions using: Databricks Snowflake Azure Synapse Delta Lake Data Lakehouse architectures Define enterprise data storage and processing strategies.
Data Governance & Compliance Establish data quality, lineage, catalog, and governance frameworks. Ensure compliance with: HIPAA HITECH CMS regulations Healthcare security standards Define governance processes for protected health information (PHI).
Analytics & Reporting Enablement Enable enterprise reporting, operational analytics, population health analytics, and AI/ML solutions.
Design dimensional models and data marts supporting business intelligence platforms.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate healthcare requirements into scalable data architecture solutions.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management Mentor data engineers, modelers, and architects. Lead architecture reviews and governance councils.
Partner with product owners, clinical stakeholders, business leaders, and technology teams. Provide strategic recommendations on healthcare data modernization initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Experience 15+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, and Enterprise Data Management.
8+ years of experience in Healthcare Data Platforms and Healthcare Analytics.
Proven experience designing OTLP/longitudinal healthcare data models.
Experience leading large-scale healthcare data transformation initiatives.
