Summary

Senior Data Analyst
Contract Length: 6-12 months with potential extension(s)
Location: Dallas, TX – Local candidates only
Work Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days onsite

Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support and analyze data anomalies across multiple environments, including Data Warehouse, ODS, and ETL/Data Management initiatives. This individual will work closely with Business, DBA, ETL, and Data Management teams to provide analysis and support for complex data initiatives. The role also includes contributing to Data Governance and Master Data Management solutions, configuration, and ongoing documentation.

The ideal candidate has a strong SQL background, deep experience with enterprise databases, and thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment managing multiple priorities.

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Analyst role
  • 4+ years of SQL experience in OLTP, Data Warehouse, and Big Data environments
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Exadata and SQL Server
  • Strong experience with Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL development
  • 2+ years of experience writing medium to complex SQL stored procedures
  • Extensive experience writing and optimizing complex SQL queries
  • Strong understanding of data movement and processing, including ETL, Replication, API, and OLAP
  • Experience supporting data transformations, derivations, and validation
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented, agile environment

 

Preferred / Plus Qualifications:

  • Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) tools and processes
  • Experience with Data Virtualization tools (Denodo)
  • Big Data experience (Hadoop, MongoDB)
  • Postgres and Cloud experience

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and analyze data anomalies and issues reported by business users
  • Collaborate with ETL, DBA, and Data Management teams on data transformations and data movement
  • Assist with break-fix efforts and production validation related to data replication and structures
  • Support configuration and ongoing setup of Data Virtualization and Master Data Management tools
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for data standards, data dictionaries, and lineage
  • Gather and analyze data from multiple sources to identify patterns and trends
