Job Responsibilities:

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Optics Engineering Intern position will support the Optical Engineers with a variety of in-lab testing. This position will also brainstorm continuous improvement methods for optical engineering testing approaches. Additionally, this position will support optical studies and identified research projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Learn theory/purpose of optical camera testing including
o Color chart measurement
o SNR measurement
o High Dynamic Range measurement
o MTF measurement
o Through focus lens measurement
Assist Optical Engineers with optics testing (above)
Brainstorm methods to improve optical testing (above)
Support optical studies and projects
Define/scope/plan optical project of mutual benefit

QUALIFICATIONS:
Some related experience preferred

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma
Currently Attending a College or University
Major in engineering physics, mechanical engineering, optics or relative field

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Power Point)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
