Lab Tech - I (Assistant)

ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Lab Tech - I (Assistant) for an on-site position with a 6-month contract located in Millsboro, DE.

Summary:
This role is responsible for performing critical laboratory procedures and duties in the production of veterinary products for a Major Pharmaceutical Company. The ideal candidate will have experience in a GMP, aseptic/clean room environment, working with a variety of technical equipment to complete cell culture processes throughout the manufacturing cycle.

Responsibilities:

• Perform procedures including aseptic work, media preparation, antigen inoculation and harvest, tissue culture preparation and harvest, and filling vaccines
• Maintain accurate and reliable record keeping including charts, log books, and all pertinent documentation
• Communicate any unusual and/or non-routine occurrences when performing tasks
• Clean work areas, prepare, clean and sterilize glassware and equipment for use
• Conduct equipment setup and operation
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to all safety and company policies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience with some lab-based experience
• GMP experience
• Aseptic/clean room environment experience
• Cell culturing experience is very helpful
• Experience using PH meters, UniFuge, measuring components, reading/following SOPs, and aseptic behaviors
• Prior SAP experience
• Must pass a physical abilities test prior to starting on-site

Desired skills:

• Vaccine knowledge
• Experience with a 4-day, 10-hour work schedule
• Effective writing, oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

Pay range: up to $22.33 per hour
