Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior IAM Engineer with expertise in Okta to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will work closely with the Information Security team to design, implement, and manage identity and access management solutions that align with business goals and uphold stringent security standards. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, this position offers an opportunity to contribute to significant security initiatives in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain identity and access management solutions, with a focus on Okta and other related platforms.
Automate identity workflows to streamline processes and enhance security efficiency.
Manage adaptive authentication methods and protocols such as OAuth, OpenID, and SAML to ensure secure access.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IAM strategies with organizational objectives.
Lead large-scale IAM projects in cloud-first and hybrid environments.
Provide technical expertise in federated identity management and authentication systems.
Utilize programming languages, such as Python, to create automation scripts tailored to IAM processes.
Act as a Business Systems Analyst to gather and articulate requirements and use cases in a technology-neutral manner.
Drive security initiatives and foster adoption of best practices across teams.
Ensure compliance with security policies while delivering innovative IAM solutions.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Identity & Access Management and related security domains.
Extensive knowledge of Okta, Azure AD, and other IAM platforms.
Proven ability to automate identity workflows and implement advanced authentication protocols.
Strong understanding of OAuth, OpenID, SAML, and federated identity systems.
Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages for automation and scripting.
Experience leading large-scale IAM projects in hybrid and cloud-first environments.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence change across teams.
Ability to articulate technical requirements and use cases in a clear, technology-agnostic manner.
