Job Details

The Electrician Foreman is responsible for leading and supervising electrical field crews on MEP construction projects. This position ensures all electrical installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in coordination with mechanical and plumbing systems. The Foreman serves as a hands-on leader, maintaining high-quality workmanship, adherence to project schedules, and compliance with all applicable codes and company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of electricians and apprentices on commercial and industrial MEP projects.
Review and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to plan work sequences and verify alignment with mechanical and plumbing systems.
Schedule and assign tasks to crews, ensuring productivity and quality expectations are met.
Collaborate closely with mechanical and plumbing foremen to prevent trade conflicts and ensure smooth installation sequences.
Inspect completed work for compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and company quality standards.
Ensure all work is performed safely in accordance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific requirements.
Train and mentor apprentices and journeymen, promoting professional growth and trade skill development.
Communicate daily with the Electrical Superintendent and Project Manager regarding progress, issues, manpower needs, and material requirements.
Maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets, and jobsite documentation.
Perform troubleshooting, testing, and system commissioning as required.
Manage jobsite tools, materials, and equipment to minimize waste and maintain organization.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited electrical apprenticeship preferred.
Current state Journeyman or Master Electrician License required.
Minimum 5 years of electrical field experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of MEP coordination and how electrical systems integrate with mechanical and plumbing components.
Proficient in reading blueprints, one-line diagrams, and construction schedules.
Ability to manage multiple crews and prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
Working knowledge of jobsite safety practices and OSHA standards.
