Summary

Job Description

The ICE Internship Program offers a dynamic opportunity to combine hands-on, impactful work on projects that shape our business, alongside practical career and professional development. You'll build meaningful connections, strengthen your interpersonal skills, and contribute in ways that truly make a difference.

Beyond your day-to-day responsibilities, you'll participate in weekly sessions led by industry leaders, connect with fellow interns, and deepen your understanding of the financial services, technology, and mortgage industries.

The Release Engineering Intern will build a working automation tool to reduce manual effort for software build and/or release, delivering something functional by the end of summer.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze ServiceNow and Jira ticket history to identify recurring, manual-effort issues that are good candidates for automation
  • Build a working automation, script, or self-service tool for at least one high-volume ticket type
  • Help build and maintain software build and release process with a focus on self-service and developer enablement
  • Support release tracking and day-to-day ticket triage, and document runbooks and known issues
  • Sit in on standups, planning, and retrospectives, and work with engineering, QA, and support teams to refine tools based on real feedback
  • Perform additional duties and contribute to projects as assigned

Knowledge and Experience
  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university and be at least advancing to their junior year of study, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of Git and scripting in Python or Bash
  • Some exposure to CI/CD, ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow), or Windows/Unix platforms is a plus, but not required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with a curiosity about why processes are inefficient

Internship Program Schedule

To accommodate varying academic calendars, the ICE Internship Program offers two schedule options:
  • Option 1: May 24, 2027 - August 6, 2027
  • Option 2: June 7, 2027 - August 20, 2027

Please Note: Interns must be available to work full-time, five days a week, at our Jacksonville office for the entire duration of one of the designated program schedules. Partial participation or alternate dates cannot be accommodated.
