About the Role

We are seeking a Data Operations Engineer to support and optimize data infrastructure and pipeline operations across high-volume, distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with C#, Python, Snowflake/BigQuery, Docker, Linux, Kafka, and data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and optimize scalable data pipelines for high-throughput applications.
  • Develop and enhance backend services using C# and Python.
  • Manage and query large datasets using Snowflake and/or Google BigQuery.
  • Deploy and maintain containerized applications using Docker in Linux environments.
  • Work with Kafka/Confluent Kafka and RabbitMQ for streaming and messaging.
  • Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot production issues, and improve system reliability.
  • Support distributed data systems and production deployments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data operations.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software/infrastructure engineering with exposure to data engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with C# and Python – Mandatory.
  • Experience with Snowflake and/or Google BigQuery.
  • Strong experience with Linux/Unix and Docker.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Experience with Kafka/Confluent Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience supporting production systems and troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Elastic/ELK Stack for logging and monitoring.
  • Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
