We are looking for OPenVMS System Legacy Engineer for our client in Lisle, IL

Job Title: OPenVMS System Legacy Engineer

Job Location: Lisle, IL

Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr

Responsibilities:

OpenVMS / Legacy Platform Ownership.
Serve as SME for OpenVMS, including system operations, scripting (DCL), and legacy application support.
Support and maintain applications written in CorVision and HP Basic.
Maintain and enhance enterprise interfaces and processes connected to TOLAS Transcomm Online Accounting System.
Execute and monitor job scheduling via Control-M or equivalent scheduling tools.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of experience supporting OpenVMS environments.
Handson experience with DCL scripting, CorVision, HP Basic, and legacy business logic.
Familiarity with TOLAS or comparable mainframe/legacy accounting platforms.
Strong SQL experience in Oracle or RDB.
Experience monitoring and supporting operational systems such as WMS or other batchdriven distribution systems.
Ability to manage complex production workloads with high reliability and low tolerance for downtime.
Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in large enterprise or distribution/warehouse environments.
Background in modernization projects involving system decommissioning or data migration.
Familiarity with MS Access for light data fixes or troubleshooting tasks.
Ability to serve as a technical mentor or lead.
