Summary

The Lead Technician is responsible for the assembly, test and general support of large-scale operations. The lead technician is also expected to provide guidance and leadership to less experienced employees. This is a job for a seasoned, composed and methodical technician who will work hands on 80% of the time, and work as the leader the other 20%. You will become a technical expert and must have the ability to pass that knowledge along to others.

Responsibilities and requirements:

  • Lead and support daily production activities for assembly and test operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to technicians and assemblers.
  • Assemble, integrate, and test electro-mechanical systems and subassemblies.
  • Interpret and work from manufacturing work instructions, engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and verbal instructions.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations teams to resolve production issues.
  • Verify product quality through inspection and testing procedures.
  • Document work performed, test results, inspections, and non-conformance findings.
  • Communicate material shortages, technical concerns, and production challenges in a timely manner.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Travel between Burlington, Haverhill, and Ayer facilities as required.


Required

  • High School Diploma, Technical School Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, electronics assembly, or related technical environments.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and electronic test equipment, including multimeters.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to train and support less experienced technicians.

Preferred

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
  • Prior experience in a lead, senior technician, or team lead role.
  • Experience with complex system integration and testing.
  • Soldering experience and IPC certification.
  • Experience working within ISO, quality, or regulated manufacturing environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces when required.
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform assembly activities at varying heights.
  • Manual dexterity required for handling delicate components and assemblies.

Location: This role is based in Burlington, MA. We are seeking local candidates, as relocation assistance is not available.

Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position currently

Compensation details: 33-42 Hourly Wage
