Genesis10 is currently seeking a Python Application Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is responsible for the analysis and development of applications on a proprietary trading platform. The candidate will build and support the remote risk stack for various asset classes and also work on building analytics and pricing components for a hedge accounting platform. The role involves participating in the design and development of applications while working with multiple teams across the institution.
Responsibilities: - Analyze and develop applications on a proprietary trading platform
- Build out and support a remote risk stack for various asset classes
- Develop analytics and pricing components for a FAS133 hedge accounting platform
- Drive and participate in the design and development of applications
- Work with multiple teams across the institution
Requirements: - Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL
- Extensive experience using design and architectural patterns
- Design and development experience in modern technologies such as API management, REST/API integration, Containers, and Microservices
- Experience in Web UI (Angular, Spring) and CI/CD tools
- Knowledge of various financial instruments including Bonds, Interest rate swaps, Repo and FX products
- Understanding of risk and P/L generation for the above instruments
- Prior Capital Markets experience
- Creative, quick-thinking, and an aptitude for solving problems with technology
- Ability to work both independently and within a high-functioning team environment
Desired skills: - Knowledge of key proprietary trading platform components
- Experience working on a proprietary remote risk framework and calculators
Pay range: $63.68 - $71.68 per hour
