Role Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant to develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements. The role involves contributing to test planning, executing all levels of testing, and collaborating with development teams to ensure software quality throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements.
- Contribute to test planning and build test cases for stories in a given sprint as per acceptance criteria.
- Automate test cases for User-Interface (UI) and databases using tools like Selenium or TOSCA.
- Build and use test data required to accomplish the execution of test cases.
- Execute manual and automated test cases and record the results.
- Test new and existing features, debug code, and report errors and failures.
- Work collaboratively with the development team for defect triaging.
- Execute all levels of testing, including Functional, Integration, and Regression.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts.
- Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies, providing timely solutions.
Required Qualifications
Education: A technical Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math is required.
Experience: A minimum of six years of professional experience, including five years of experience in Software Testing. This includes hands-on Agile experience and experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, and ETL technologies.
Technical Skills:- Experience with automation testing using tools like Selenium or TOSCA for UI and databases.
- Expertise in testing User-Interface (UI) and Database changes.
- Experience with Autosys job scheduling.
- Ability to write and execute Unix commands.
- Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries using Joins.
- Working knowledge of test management software such as qTest or Octane.
- Familiarity with project lifecycles (SIT, UAT).
- Proficiency with Jira, Oracle, and Teradata.

- Strong problem identification and solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Prior experience working with globally distributed teams.
- Experience in the Banking domain.
