Systems Engineer - Systems Engineer IV

Location: Redmond, Washington (Onsite)

COMPENSATION: $79 - $89 HOURLY

Role Overview

This position requires a dedicated resource to manage bring-up activities, which currently compete with development, sustaining, and cross-program deliverables. The role is centered on preventing schedule risks to production readiness and other program milestones. The successful candidate will facilitate communication between development and production teams to accelerate issue resolution across multiple stations and ensure satellite delivery timelines are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities between development engineering and the production floor during station bring-up.
  • Conduct software and hardware integration testing and debugging.
  • Coordinate and execute software deployment across multiple manufacturing test stations.
  • Develop and deliver hands-on training to production operators on station software.
  • Complete station commissioning activities, including Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Built-In Self-Test (BIST) validation.
  • Support and organize station qualification and release for production use.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot yield issues during prototype and production builds.
  • Develop procedures, preventative maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides to support production.
  • Support production and integration efforts for hardware subsystems.
Required Qualifications

Technical Skills:
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, C++, or C#.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
  • Experience leading the design, automation, deployment, and support of large-scale infrastructure.
  • Hardware-in-the-loop or manufacturing test experience.
  • Experience with lab instrumentation and test station bring-up.
  • Proficiency in software deployment and debugging.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with distributed systems at scale.
  • Experience with satellite or aerospace manufacturing testing.
  • Experience with networking hardware and/or optical communications.
  • Experience with the deployment, bring-up, and support of manufacturing test stations.
  • Experience training production operators on test software.
  • Experience with station commissioning (MSA, BIST) and production release criteria.
  • Experience troubleshooting software/hardware integration issues.
