Our client is advancing a modern ERP platform and requires a Lead UI engineer to drive React-based, message-driven interfaces in an agile environment. The selected professional will improve responsiveness, reliability, and structure while collaborating with event-driven backend services. Backgrounds in eCommerce, ERP, manufacturing, or experimental startup initiatives will be relevant.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $80.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities

Collaborate with the product team to deliver next-generation applications.
Design and develop dynamic, message-driven React components.
Ensure UI responsiveness across devices and states.
Troubleshoot interface software and application issues.
Own specific UI design areas from concept through implementation.
Work closely with the backend team on event-driven architecture and WebSocket integration.

Experience Requirements:
Experience Requirements

Leadership experience, someone who can help grow and lead a team.
7+ years as a UI developer.
Strong JavaScript knowledge.
Expertise in React. React Native experience is a plus.
Proficiency with Git version control.
Experience with GraphQL.
Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
Unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
Experience with React workflows such as Redux or Flux.
Experience with WebSockets.
Exposure to Playwright or similar tools for testing, creating new tests
Experience with mock services integration for APIs and databases.
Experience with message brokers such as Kafka (preferred).
Ability to work independently and demonstrate leadership potential for a future UI Lead role.
Experience with mapping libraries such as Mapbox GL.
Strong coding and testing discipline, including unit tests and mock services.
