Job Summary
Value Technology is looking for an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and support real-time applications for an Index Calculation platform. The candidate should have strong experience in Java, J2EE, JMS, Kafka, Spring Framework, multithreading, Oracle, and application performance tuning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop real-time Java applications.
- Build asynchronous and message-based applications.
- Integrate applications with third-party market data feed providers.
- Develop highly available, scalable, secure, and reliable systems.
- Participate in coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Support production applications and resolve critical issues.
- Perform application and system performance tuning.
- Develop applications using object-oriented concepts and design patterns.
- Integrate internal applications with vendor platforms.
- Perform unit testing and fix application defects.
- Work with Oracle databases to extract data and create reports.
- Collaborate with business users, customers, and IT teams.
Required Skills
- 10–12 years of application development and production support experience.
- Strong experience in Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, JMS, and multithreading.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka.
- Experience with JMS broker configuration, tuning, and failover.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Experience deploying Java/J2EE applications on Tomcat or similar servers.
- Experience with Hibernate or other ORM technologies.
- Knowledge of Unix scripting and basic networking.
- Experience with source control and development tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
