Web Accessibility Specialist (WCAG 2.1 AA & ADA Remediation)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility testing and remediation for web content hosted within a Sitecore CMS environment
• Remediate accessibility issues across various digital formats, including:
  • PDF documents
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files
  • Images and reports in multiple formats
• Apply accessibility best practices such as:
  • Structuring and tagging documents correctly
  • Adding and validating alternative text (alt text)
  • Establishing logical reading order and heading hierarchy
  • Ensuring keyboard and screen-reader compatibility
• Support the development and maintenance of accessible web solutions using Sitecore
• Ensure all content aligns with established web content standards and look & feel guidelines
• Conduct accessibility validation to confirm compliance with ADA and WCAG 2.1 AA
• Document findings and provide clear remediation guidance
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders through written and verbal updates

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in ADA accessibility testing and remediation
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Sitecore Content Management System
• In-depth knowledge of WCAG 2.1 AA Guidelines
• Proven experience remediating digital content, including:
  • PDFs
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents
  • Images and multi-format reports
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards, tools, and best practices
• Ability to work independently while following defined priorities and standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
